Independant Labs do our testing

Our NutriClean testing and certificaton programs are administered by an an independent certificaton agency. NutriClean, a division of Scientific Certification Systems. In each testing, samples are sent to some of the nation's leading food testing laboratories. These labs are equipped with modern, state-of-the-art analytical equipment . Test are conducted by skilled chemists using the most technically advanced laboratory procedures.

Our goal is Fewer Pesticides.

Whenever possible, we want to offer you fresh yams and sweet potatos grown without the application of any pesticides. However, we realize, that for the present, pesticides are still necesarry to produce many of the foods we eat. Therefore, we encourage our growers to use chemical pesticides prudently, if necessary.

Iintegrated pest management (IPM) is the promising new field of agricultural science that encourages the use of fewer pesticides to grow food. This acomplished in the fields through an integration of natural, biological, mechanical and limited chemical controls.

For example, aphid can be destructive to a citrus orchard. The controlled release of lady bugs, a natural predator, can biologically control aphid with no use of pesticides.

We are glad to see IPM methods gaining acceptance in the farming community.
